how do we do it all?

This morning while getting things ready for church in the kitchen I listened to THIS talk by Julie Beck. Oh how I love her!  There is some wonderful counsel in this talk.

I needed this talk.

I know it was given by Sister Beck and it was to and about women.  I also know that this is a marriage blog and husbands read it too.
These talks are given to everyone.  They were printed in the Ensign for everyone to read.  There is so much that both men and women can glean from it.  So much.

For one, knowing what your wife is capable of and what she wants to do is important information for a husband who would like to see her become who she was meant to be and who she wants to be.
I also love how Sister Beck invites, exhorts and encourages women to live up to their potential while she understands the temptations and troubles they face.  I don't feel belittled or demeaned while listening to this talk.  She provides a great model for us all to follow when we are trying to help each other to do better.  It never involves put downs, but validation, praise and encouragement.

Another reason why this talk is great is because when we are working at developing ourselves we are blessing our marriages.  So much good comes from progress.

I hope you enjoy the read or watch. HERE

Here is just one of many quotes that hit a note with me this morning.

"When we have done our very best, we may still experience disappointments, but we will not be disappointed in ourselves. We can feel certain that the Lord is pleased when we feel the Spirit working through us.  Peace, joy, and hope are available to those who measure success properly."
