I love long weekends!

Yesterday was Ben's last day of school so Zach took off work for his end of year program and now he doesn't have to work on Monday!!! This is cause in and of itself for a celebration!

I think all we'll do is go for a hike today, FINALLY plant the garden, visit a few grave sites and go to a family BBQ but it sounds so nice!

I hope you will have a fun weekend! Happy Memorial Day!

enjoy!

I know I'm egg-cited for today! I love Easter egg hunts and quality time with my family!

Just enjoy your time together! Try not to rush it! Look at all the pretty flowers! Point them out to your kids. Take lots of pictures and don't forget to get one of you and your spouse! (that one often gets neglected :))

After this week you won't see the word egg-cited until next year. Good grief! :)

the happiest season of all??

Here we come Christmas! Here we come New Years! Just like that, some of us are scrambling to get everything done and still trying to make it to every Christmas party there ever was! Not to mention, do service projects with our families and do things to incorporate the Spirit of Christ into our homes and really celebrate this Christmas...
then there is the regular stuff. You mean I still have to clean my house and feed my children? Zach still has to go to work and we both still have our callings...:)

Might I suggest an apple? Sit down with your spouse, a piece of paper and a calendar. Talk about expectations for your holidays and prioritize them. Talk about what you can do without and what you can't. Then put it down on the calendar. We did this Sunday and Zach was a little overwhelmed with everything we have going on. I would imagine if we hadn't sat down and discussed it we would have had a word or two about not communicating about the chaos...
Don't forget to talk about a budget if you haven't already!

I hope this is helpful and that this will be your happiest holiday season ever!
