What to expect...:)

...when Becca's expecting? A whole month with not a single post!...laundry that stays in the baskets, kids wearing mismatched clothes, dishes left in the sink, and floors that might not have been scrubbed recently. (I'm sparing you the whole list. aren't I nice?)

Yep, we are expecting baby number 4 on Christmas day! Merry Christmas! :) Hopefully I hold true to previous experience and don't have this child on the due date. :) (I'm 17 weeks)

I plan to still post though...just not as often. Most days I'm doing good to keep me and the kids fed and the computer is never even turned on...

All is well though. We are way excited and at this point I am feeling lots better- thank goodness!

the trend

So, that marriage seminar thing we went to a few weeks ago...

John Bytheway and Kim (his wife) talked about something that made a lot of sense to me.

Appreciate/Expect/Demand

This rang true with me. Most of the time I appreciate it when Zach takes out the garbage, but sometimes I expect it, or even demand it.

Zach is better than me in a lot of cases and this is one of them. I am traditional by my point of view and non-traditional to many in the role I have chosen to stay home with our children, clean house, fix dinners etc. Zach appreciates that I make dinner for him and is very good at saying thank you for what I do.

Today, the apple is to pay attention to the things you appreciate, expect and demand of your spouse. Make a special effort to appreciate the things they do. Have a great day!

See how wonderful he is? Gosh, I am lucky!

frustrated?

frustration is caused by unmet expectations and sometimes they are too high!

we all do it. as a mom, I'll leave the house for the night or a few hours and "expect" it to be cleaner than when I left. does Zach know this? No! so, I get frustrated and he doesn't even know why! :)

The apple for the day is: talk about your expectations for the day! what do you plan to accomplish? anything your spouse wants you to do for them or around the house or yard? find out and talk about it!
