Lucky Smoothie

I love themes, I love occasions, I just love any reason to change up the everyday!

It is lucky week! I am thinking green okay. How about you turn off the t.v. make a smoothie and then do something that makes you both feel lucky. Spend some quality time together. It is a lot more quality if the t.v. is off! There is your apple!

I feel so lucky to married to Zach! I really do!
We have so much fun together!
I'm also lucky that my kids have learned how to use the camera!

sweet indeed. :)

My sister Rach is making chocolate caramel apples today. I asked her how she was going to show gratitude to her hubby and she said she was going to make him a treat. ooh, that sounds good to me!!! Don't we both benefit when we do something nice?! Gratitude tastes good. :)
Oh and HERE is the recipe....:)
What would you make?

Boo!

In THIS post I referred to a Boo you can start in your neighborhood.

How about Booing your spouse!

If you need a picture, try THIS one. :) I think it's funny.

Now since you are Booing your spouse you can't exactly copy the poem that you would give your neighbor so I will take a swing at it for you. :)

BOO!

You are so cool and we live in the same house!
I am so glad I am your spooky spouse!
Giving you this Boo was no easy thing
Sneaking around without being seen.
I made you this treat while you were gone
Out hunting for deer when you only saw fawns
Please do not let the fun end here!
I love treats and I let you hunt deer!
Did I mention you're cool
And that you make this girl drool?

Happy Halloween!

Oh my! I'm too tired to come up with something else!
I'd love to hear what you come up with!

need a favor?

Sometimes I just feel needy. I feel bad for asking favors of Zach because maybe I have asked a lot of him. But I do need his help and sometimes it isn't just help but love too.
What about making an exchange for the favor? If you do this for me, I'll do this for you. :)

There are days I just want to lay on the couch after the kids are in bed and have my feet rubbed. (sorry if feet gross you out. :))
This is always something you could just say but what if you make a cute note with a little poem explaining your dire need?

There is this man that I dream about
No cause for worry or pout
You are so sweet and so very nice
You add to my life a whole lot of spice!
I know you love shakes that is true
If you rub my feet I'll make one for you! :)

Nothing complicated but different. It doesn't seem as demanding to ask in this way does it?

Try that Apple! :)

what is it about food?

It seems almost every time I go to make a post I think of things that have to do with food? I do like food, I eat often and I love treats in really any form. But seriously?
Is food romantic? Is food fun? Is food funny? Can food change the mood?
You know what? I think it is and it can!
So maybe that is why I always think about food when I think about marriage! :)

The apple for the day is: make the bed pretty and nice and then leave a treat on their pillow. :)

20 Questions

After the kids are in bed, play 20 questions. Make a treat and ask some stirring questions and some not so stirring. Come up with some questions before hand.
I did this the other night and we had a good time.
Some questions I asked were:
"whats your favorite food?" (you never know, it could change)
"least favorite?"
"your hero?"
"something you'd like to see changed?"
"someone you'd like to meet and spend time with?"
"something you find totally funny?"
"something you wish you'd learned when you were younger?"

Have fun, get to know your spouse better. This probably took us about 15, 20 minutes. (not including making a shake)

"An apple a day"

Count how many months you've been married and celebrate the "monthly anniversary" - like 68 months or whatever it be. Have a contest to see who is the first to remember and tell the other first. Make it a surprise the first time you do it and have some "chilled" apple cider from the freezer after the kids are in bed.

"An apple a day"

Make time to talk. If this is something new then just ask if you can make a treat after the kids are in bed and then visit while eating it.

"An apple a day"

Extend your date night invitation in a different way- even if it's a phone call to the office with an invitation to movie or games at home with the bonus of their favorite treat.
