is it you? is it your spouse? do they think so? why?
all of these questions are important. i know i want to feel like i am lucky to be married to Zach. i totally want him to feel lucky being my husband. it doesn't make much difference if i think he's lucky and he doesn't though. :) then why are they lucky, why am i lucky and why do they feel lucky?
this is something that is totally worth thinking about! or asking your spouse about. "why do you feel lucky being married to me?"
a good apple would be making a list of why you're the luckiest to be married to your spouse.
do it! make the list!
then, make a list of why they are lucky to be married to you...or at least think about it!!
some things i came up with are:
* we have fun together
* i take care of him
* i act like i like having him around
* i listen and am interested in his interests
* i encourage him in his goals
* i try (try being the key word) to look good for him
* i appreciate him (out loud and in my actions)
see why this is good to think about? it can be SO easy to just "keep on trudgin'", but don't we want to feel lucky? blessed, even. when i really feel like i'm the luckiest, life doesn't seem so hard. that's because gratitude really does help.
i wouldn't even fane perfection. don't get my above list wrong. i am trying like everyone else. i just want to be happy and i want Zach to be happy too.
at that marriage celebration, Richard Eyre told a story about their daughter that i found quite interesting. she was really struggling in her marriage, really struggling. she decided to change one thing. she started saying to herself and acting out a new motto, "if it's important to him, then it's important to me". that made all the difference. happiness and even bliss, returned.
a lot of times, it really does take one person, who is really truly committed.
what do you think about this? what do you think you could do if you didn't feel lucky? what advice would you give to someone who felt that way?

I feel more lucky then Kevin feels about me. I love him and I am so lucky he deals with my, and my problems. I really feel like I am luckest girl in the world.
