Today is April Fools Day and I have done nothing for it. Well, I guess I did look up some ideas online. I have not pulled a single joke. The day is not over yet though.
So, our oldest is in 2nd grade. I homeschool him. On Monday he gets to choose a game to play that has math in it. It's a good way to review math facts and it gives us a chance for some quality time. He came upstairs with the game of LIFE in his hands and I couldn't help but feel tired. I'm glad I played though. We had a good time. I like that game too.
Every time I drew a LIFE card I realized that those things were "LIFE enhancing". Some of them were simple and some of them would take more time, but they enhanced LIFE.
Some examples are:
* visit war memorial
* recycle
* go fishing
* go hiking
* have a family game night!
* learn sign language
* plant a tree
* help the homeless
* cycle to work
* visit a museum
* family picnic
It's the beginning of the month. It's a great time to look at your empty calendar and fill it up with "LIFE enhancers"! By taking the time to talk to your spouse about what would be a life enhancer to him or her, you are telling them that enhancing their life is important to you. You are validating their interests and wants. One thing I love about the above list is they could all be cheep or free! Another thing I love is that some of them are outside! Ah, Spring!
What is life enhancing to you?

I wish I had a daily calendar with all your sweet apples on it so I could pull one off in the morning when I woke up and make sure to do it that day. :) You are a life enhancer.
